Andrea - Demi Pair Thank You Letter

Hi, Wendy. I am taking Pauline to the airport today and wanted to thank you again for allowing my family to have such a fantastic experience with our Demi Pair. It really is a program that brings life to families as we get a taste of a new culture and way of life.

Once again, Spencer has benefitted the most and has adored Pauline. She was fantastic with him and we all loved having her become a part of our family.

After I finished high school I wanted to spend some time abroad before I start University. The Demi Pair program seemed perfect for me, because it offers the opportunity to live in a host family and learn about the Canadian way of live and to go to language school.

"It was only a couple of months before my return to work from maternity leave when I had a sudden realization that our child care arrangements had a serious gap. Our 5 year old was in Montessori and our soon to be one year old would be in an excellent neighbourhood daycare. My husband and I both work demanding full time jobs. So I realized that the prospect of us needing to do double pick ups, when one of us had to work late, would be a logistical nightmare.

That's when I discovered the Demi-pair program at Access. It seemed the perfect solution to our dilemma. But it has turned out to be so much more than that. A year and a later, Annika our third Demi pair is living with us as a member of our family, and at the end of the month we will welcome our fourth Demi pair Michele into our home."

Irene A. - Demi Pair

Hello, I am Irene, from Madrid, Spain. I really recommend this program, you not only learn the English in the school, also in your house, with the host family. They are very nice an friendly people.

I remember my first day, they gave a lot of confidence and they tried to relax me. And also I have lucky, because my host father work in something that it is similar for my likes, and we speak a lot.

Laurene - Demi Pair from France

I'm having a great time being a Demi pair in Canada. I really feel like I'm part of the family. They always include me in their activities and I enjoy spending time with them. I am learning a lot, improving my English but also opening my mind to another culture and way of life. I think that being an au pair is the best way to improve your English and experience Canadian lifestyle living with a nice family ! :)
